SYD Return & Refund Policy

All Sales Final

All SYD purchases are final sale.

Due to our made-to-order production model and limited small-batch releases, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges except in the limited circumstances outlined below.

Please review sizing, color selection, shipping address, and event timelines carefully before placing your order.

 

Made-to-Order Items

If a product is labeled “Made to Order” at the time of purchase:

  • Production begins specifically for your order.
  • Orders cannot be cancelled or modified once production has started.
  • These items are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange.

If you need to request a size or color adjustment, you must contact us within 24 hours of placing your order. Adjustments are not guaranteed and depend on the production stage at the time of request.

 

Small Batch / Ready-to-Ship Items

Items not labeled “Made to Order” are part of a limited small batch.

  • These items are final sale.
  • Orders cannot be cancelled once processed for shipment.
  • Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled or modified.

 

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery.

If you receive:

  • A defective item
  • A damaged item
  • The wrong item

You must contact us within 48 hours of confirmed delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the issue

Each claim is reviewed individually.

If the issue is determined to be the result of a production or fulfillment error on our end, SYD will determine the appropriate resolution. This may include repair, replacement, partial refund, or store credit at our discretion.

If the issue is not determined to be a defect or fulfillment error, the item will not be eligible for refund or exchange.

The following are not considered defects:

  • Minor hand-dye variations
  • Fabric texture irregularities
  • Tone differences under varying lighting
  • Natural variations in handmade detailing

 

Shipping Costs & Return Expenses

If a return or refund is approved under the limited circumstances outlined above:

  • Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.
  • Original outbound shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • If shipping was offered at no additional charge at checkout, the actual shipping cost incurred by SYD will be deducted from the refund amount.
  • Any customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or carrier charges are non-refundable and responsibility of the recipient. 
  • SYD is not responsible for return packages lost or damaged in transit.

Refund amounts will be calculated as:

Item price paid minus actual outbound shipping costs and any applicable fees.

 

Customs, Duties & Refused Shipments

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or processing fees imposed by the destination country.

These charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Orders refused due to unpaid customs charges are not eligible for refund.

If a refused shipment is returned to us, any return shipping fees, customs charges, or carrier penalties incurred will be deducted from any eligible refund or store credit issued at our discretion.

 

Delivery Delays

SYD is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Shipping carriers
  • Customs inspections
  • Weather disruptions
  • International transport rerouting
  • Government or airspace restrictions
  • Incorrect shipping information provided at checkout

Event dates do not override our production timelines unless priority production was explicitly confirmed prior to purchase.

 

European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

For orders shipped to the European Union, customers may have the right to cancel within 14 days under EU consumer protection law.

However, this does not apply to:

  • Made-to-order goods
  • Customized goods
  • Items produced specifically for the customer

Eligible items must be unworn, unused, and returned in original condition.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise required by law.

 

Refund Processing (If Applicable)

If a return is approved under the limited circumstances outlined in this policy, refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days after inspection and approval.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

 

Fraud & Chargeback Protection

SYD reserves the right to refuse service, cancel orders suspected of fraud, and dispute chargebacks in cases where policy terms were agreed to at checkout.
